This is a momentous day for our state. But, hopefully it won’t be the end of the fight for fully equality!

As I was visiting my parents in Suffield this weekend, I was reading through their church bulletin and noticed an additional letter from their pastor condemning the ruling and calling it a violation of rights.
I know I shouldn’t have been surprised at their reaction…but it still gets my blood boiling a bit when I read these things.
I’m glad I switched churches recently to St. Patrick/St. Antony’s in Hartford whose parish does a lot more community outreach and realizes its 2008. Although…maybe I should wait and see what statement they produce.

St.P/St.A is known to be a supportive church for ALL people. In fact, that’s what landed them on the “Reverend” Fred Phelps list. He’s the bigoted preacher from Kansas who believes that 9/11 was punishment for the US’s acceptance of homosexuality. He’s the infamous “God Hates Fags” guy.
