[…] Following up on the troublesome Parkville raids by officials representing US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, a Trinity College-based group, Stop the Raids!, is hosting a meeting tomorrow at 7:30 pm in the basement of St. Augustine Church. Founder Charlie Fuentes, in an article about a related art exhibit in The Trinity Tripod, said he “hoped to connect more strongly with the arts community, which has historically played a strong role in social movements.” Tomorrow’s meeting is aimed at gaining statewide opposition to ICE raids in the city, which have reportedly brought on a rash of disruptive fear among Brazilian and Puerto Rican communities at the very least.
