Our comrade, Luis Cotto, is running for City Council. He’s having his campaign kick off tomorrow night at Red Rock (the old Kennys). Red Rock is on Capitol Ave., just down the street from the Cotto family’s La Paloma Sabanera Coffee House & Bookstore.
It starts at 6:30pm.
Luis is running with the Working Families Party. Read more about Luis’ plan here.
Real Hartford discusses the campaign here.
The Working Families Party will be holding a chapter meeting of the 1st Congressional District (that’s Hartford) on Tuesday, August 14th at 5:30pm in the offices of 32BJ at 196 Trumbull St, Hartford. The agenda will include the next steps to elect three candidates to the Hartford City Council, as well as the formation and election of a Working Families Party Town Committee in Hartford. If you have any questions, please call Jake Olsen at 860.523.1699.

Nice job keepin’ it real. It’s important for media to be transparent about any potential biases/friendships/comradeships.

On the other hand…some hearts and kisses around my name with .gif images of angels playing harp would’ve looked nice

Would’ve? This is the internet! We have the power to add dancing angels at any time.
Josh, can you animate one of those pics of Tessa and Miles & have them waving “Luis Cotto 4 City Council” banners?

To all the folks at HIMC and Undercurrents, thanks for promoting the campaign! Luis’s fundraiser was a great start.
Of course, the work ahead is daunting, but the pay-off will be big for progressives in Hartford and the grueling campaign will be a lot more enjoyable with your involvement.
Thanks again!
