Photos from Saturday's Rally in Support of Egyptian Uprising

(Hartford) On Saturday, February 5, people from the Hartford area joined together at the State Capitol to show support for

the people of Egypt and to protest US military aid to Egypt. Despite the rainy weather, a good number of individuals, young and

old, made it out to the Capitol and raised their voices in both Arabic and English. The group then marched on to the Federal Building on Main Street.

One

of the event’s organizers, an Egyptian-American named Rana Elazazy, will be on RadioActive next week. Tune into that show Tuesday 2/15 at 1 PM on WESU Middletown 88.1 FM, Wednesday 2/16 at noon on WWUH West Hartford 91.3 FM, or Thursday (new date!) 2/17 at 6 PM on WHUS Storrs 91.7 FM. And as always, there will be a podcast right here at hartfordimc.org.
