  1. (January 15) Former Hartford Mayor Carrie Saxon Perry told Spectrum workers and their supporters that the company has “violated every law, every decency” with its unfair labor practices against 400 nursing home workers. Connecticut’s Speaker of the House Chris Donovan told that crowd that Dr. King’s dream was to “make sure that everybody shares in the wealth of our country.” Donovan, a former union organizer, ended by saying that “It’s perfect for us to be here today. We know what the fight is. I’m proud to be here with you…fighting for the dignity and respect of all workers.”
