I don’t know who’s responsible for it but there’s a cool banner in front of the Stegasaurus which says “Join us in Celebrating the Workers who made & care for this artwork.” Wonderful way of commemorating the workers as well as pointing out that “art” is not for the elite. Yes, Stegasaurus is Alexander Calder’s piece, but how many steel workers, crane operators, earth movers, etc… were used to bring the project to fruition?

On another note. W’sup with the May Day Celebration? If we can start meeting now for next year, I’ll do all I can from a City stand point to make sure we can do it. Use me while I’m there…
